About me
About Me
I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC) and School Psychologist Specialist (Ed.S.) who believes in the importance of understanding the whole person to truly understand what is happening in their life. Our thoughts, emotions, behaviors, relationships, biology, experiences, and environment are all connected, and they shape how we think, feel, and respond to the world around us.
My work focuses on bringing together evidence-based therapeutic approaches with a deeper understanding of how people think, learn, develop, and respond to their experiences. I want to help you develop a better understanding of yourself, build practical tools that fit your life right now, and make changes that feel meaningful to you.
Why I Created Inner Blossom Wellness
My passion and dedication to this work and to creating Inner Blossom Wellness grew out of my own curiosity and interest in understanding how things work. Like many people, I felt overwhelmed and frustrated by the amount of confusing and conflicting health information, while also noticing how disconnected the pieces often seemed. Everyone seemed to have their own perspective without a clear indication of how it all fits together. One person was talking from the perspective of the mind, another from the body, another about behavior, and another about lifestyle, without always looking at how they fit together.
That experience sparked a curiosity that has stayed with me. For nearly a decade, I have continued researching, learning, practicing, and gaining experience to better understand how people grow, change, heal, and thrive, and how I can bring clear, actionable, and accessible steps to those who seek them.
Along the way, I developed a particular interest in the intersection of biology, neuropsychology, neurobiology, psychology, and human behavior. My background as both a School Psychologist-Specialist and Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor has allowed me to look at people from different but complementary perspectives: how the brain and cognition work, how people develop and learn, how experiences shape us, and how thoughts, emotions, behaviors, and relationships influence one another.
I don't believe there is always one simple explanation for why we struggle. Sometimes understanding what is happening requires looking at several pieces at once.
How I See Our Work Together
Working together is not focused on a strategy for your symptoms, nor is it about giving you another "to-do" list that you make and put aside, unsure of how it actually fits into your life.
It is about understanding how you are wired, what is important to you, and how you want to move forward in the next chapter.
We may explore your thoughts, emotions, behaviors, relationships, experiences, biology, or the demands of your current life. We will use effective strategies that fit your lifestyle, challenge patterns that aren't serving you, and look at experiences that continue to influence how you respond today.
The goal isn't to arrange your life to fit the work, but to fit the work into the life you currently have.
You will learn to understand the influences showing up in your life, decide what you want to keep, what you want to adapt, what you want to accept, and ultimately how you want your life to look moving forward.
That's the heart of Inner Blossom Wellness.
